FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR: 1760's Handmade British/Colonial Button

Here is a handmade button that I recently found at the Lost Colonial Village.  It has the British Crown and dates to the 1750's or early 1760's.  Most likely it was from a British soldier or Colonial Militia volunteer.

"Here is the newest Rev War Era artifact added to my collection.. This is an Nice 1770's British Rifleman's wood & iron Canteen Flask that actually came from Edinburgh, Scotland.   I just love history and the story the artifacts have to tell us. This is one i sought out for a longtime and now it's here plus i have a special connection to this one too because i was born in Scotland and raised there..But anyways this Canteen has been in Scotland all these years and now here in the States. I hope you all like the canteen and it takes us back in time and wonder the stories it has to tell.."

Lost Colonial Village Find: A British Royal Artillery Soldier's Button

Here's a button I found this week at the Lost Colonial Village while relic hunting with the Colonial Relic Hunter.  I wonder how it came to be at this lost and forgotten place.  Was the person a loyalist to the British crown?  Was he a British soldier who deserted to become a Revolutionary, or did he settle here after the Revolution?  We will never know (unless Bill can raise him on the spirit box...).  The video of the rest of the finds will be out later.  Check back!!
