I have been fascinated with the past all my life. Although time travel is not possible (at least, as far as I know), we can still experience it through what I call "relics of the fourth dimension." Namely, as the old saying goes, "time marches on." We can't travel in the fourth dimension, except going forward in the present, but we can follow the trail of the fourth dimension. Along the way, people lose or discard items from their being. These relics are unintentional time capsules that give us as glimpse into their lives. Here on The Time Searchers blog, I will show some relics of the past that I have run across in our present. Sometimes when I am out on a relic hunt with the Colonial Relic Hunter, we know that we are not alone. There is more than just relics at these historical sites. Indeed, it could be said that there is a portal to the past, perhaps to another dimension, where that which once was, still is. A place where the real consorts with the shadows; the present fuses with the past, on Time Searchers: Ghost Relics.

PATRICK MCGOOHAN-JAMES BOND ON TV YEARS BEFORE THE MOVIE JAMES BOND

I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. IT'S BEEN EIGHT YEARS SINCE I LEARNED THAT ONE OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS, PATRICK MCGOOHAN PASSED AWAY ON JANUARY 13, 2009. TODAY, HE IS VIRTUALLY FORGOTTEN.  MCGOOHAN WAS A SMOOTH, LOW KEY KIND OF GUY WHO AT THE SAME TIME HAD HIS ECCENTRIC QUALITIES.  HE STARRED IN THE DANGERMAN TV SERIES IN THE UK FROM 1959-1961 AND ITS REBOOT FROM 1964-1966.  THE SHOW WAS KNOWN AS "SECRET AGENT" IN THE UNITED STATES.  HIS ACTING STYLE WAS GENUINE AND HE MOLDED HIS CHARACTER "JOHN DRAKE" TO HIS OWN VALUES.  HE INSISTED THAT HIS CHARACTER NOT ENGAGE IN UNNECESSARY VIOLENCE AND NOT BE A WOMANIZER (THAT'S ONE POINT THAT I WOULD DISAGREE WITH HIM ON.) BUT, HE WAS SO GOOD AT THIS PART, THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT THE PRODUCERS OF THE BOND FILMS BASED THEIR VERSION OF JAMES BOND ON PATRICK MCGOOHAN'S JOHN DRAKE PORTRAYAL ON DANGERMAN.  IN FACT, SOME BOOKS SAY THAT HE WAS INTERVIEWED FOR THE JAMES BOND PART.  BUT, THEY COULD NOT AGREE ON TERMS.
MCGOOHAN WROTE AND DIRECTED THE PRISONER SERIES IN THE UK.  AFTER THE PRISONER SERIES, HE CAME TO THE UNITED STATES AND DID SOME FILMS AND AND GUEST STARRED ON THE OLD COLUMBO SERIES.  BUT, TO ME, DANGERMAN WAS HIS BEST WORK.  I FOUND HIM TO BE A CREATIVE GUY THAT LET ALCOHOL TO GET THE BEST OF HIM.  I WISH THAT HE HAD DONE MORE WORK.  BUT, I VALUE THE SHOWS THAT HE DID AND I THINK THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN BIGGER THAN HE WAS.  BUT, HE WAS HIS OWN MAN AND PLAYED BY HIS OWN RULES.  HERE'S SOME LINKS TO SOME VIDEOS THAT SUMMARIZE SOME OF HIS GREAT WORK ON DANGERMAN.-THE TIME SEARCHER.
